Een paar uur zachte ochtend- of avondzon is prima. Houd de potgrond licht vochtig, maar voorkom dat de wortels in een laag water staan. Geef in de groeiperiode, van lente tot en met zomer, regelmatig plantenvoeding. De plant houdt van warmte en een hogere luchtvochtigheid. Besproei de bladeren af en toe met water voor een extra frisse uitstraling. Bescherm de Musa tegen kou en tocht; temperaturen onder de 10°C worden niet goed verdragen. 🪴
