Distance extension: can extend both Ethernet data and PoE power up to 120 meters over Cat5 UTP cable. Singleport forward: forwards both Ethernet data and PoE power to one terminal equipment via Cat5 UTP cable. Benefits and features Solves distance limitations by delivering data and PoE power over longer runs with a single Cat5 UTP cable. Simple, compact solution for deploying PoE devices away from the main PoE switch without additional power outlets at the device location. Maintains compatibility with standard PoE devices that support IEEE 802.3af and 10/100BASETX networks. Use scenarios IP camera installation: place a camera up to 120 meters from the PoE switch; use the extender to deliver both data and power over Cat5 to the camera. Remote PoE devices in offices or warehouses: power a wireless access point or VoIP phone located far from the PoE switch where a nearby power outlet is unavailable. Temporary or retrofit deployments: extend PoE to a single device in a multifloor or campus environment using existing Cat5 infrastructure without rewiring electrical outlets.
