Polyester Sewing Thread 130-Colour Set

This set contains 130 individual spools of 100% polyester sewing thread, each measuring 110 yards (100.6 metres) in length. Thread thickness is industry-standard 40 wt (tex 25), with a tensile strength rated at ≥1,200 cN — suitable for medium-to-heavy weight fabrics and high-speed domestic machines. Core material is recyclable polypropylene; thread is wound under controlled tension to prevent looping or unwinding during storage or transport. The polyester filament structure offers superior resistance to moisture absorption, UV degradation and chemical exposure — making it ideal for items exposed to sunlight (curtains, cushion covers) or frequent laundering (baby clothes, bed linens). No wax or silicone coating is applied, ensuring safe use with sensitive skin contact applications and compatibility with eco-friendly detergents. Commonly applied in household sewing rooms, community art centres and micro-manufacturing units: constructing tailored jackets, sewing elasticated waistbands, finishing raw edges on quilts, securing macramé knots, reinforcing seams on reusable shopping bags and assembling textile-based educational kits for UK primary schools.
