1. This emulator is designed for BMW steering lock systems and operates on a plug-and-play basis without programming. 2. It addresses common BMW faults such as inability to start the vehicle, remote key fob opening doors but failing to start the engine, and the appearance of a red steering wheel lock icon in the center of the instrument cluster—indicating a steering lock malfunction. In some cases, temporary functionality may be restored after synchronizing CAS and ELV modules. 3. The ELV emulator is compatible with BMW vehicles equipped with CAS2, CAS3, or CAS3+ systems featuring steering lock functionality. When experiencing the aforementioned faults, simply disconnect the original steering lock connector and install the emulator—no programming required.
