Hemerocallis Pink Damask. Daylily
HEMEROCALLIS Pink Damask
\nCommonly known as Daylily.
\nHemerocallis Pink Damask forms dense clumps of sword shaped, grass like leaves and bears an abundance of trumpet or funnel shaped flowers on tall stems.
\nAlthough the blooms are not long lasting they are produced with such profusion that a display will last for many, many weeks.
\nEasy to grow, Hemerocallis prefer a well-drained fertile soil but are unfussy, they will also grow in poorer soil and will even tolerate heavy clay.
\nHemerocallis Pink Damask is a free flowering, long lived cultivar with striking salmon pink blooms in July and August occasionally into September.
\nThese funnel or trumpet shaped flowers with their peach-coloured midribs, yellow throats and slightly reflexed petals have a distinct lily like appearance.
\nBorne in clusters on tall (sometimes 1m. high) slender stems the flowers are often up to 15cm wide.
\nPink Damask has now reached the status of “must have” for the mixed or herbaceous border.
\nFlower stems should be removed after blooms have faded and tired or ragged foliage can be removed in late autumn.
\nTo get the best results sites which dry out in summer and heavily shaded areas should be avoided.
\nWhen planting Hemerocallis always include plenty of well- rotted compost or farm-yard manure.
\nMulch generously in early spring and keep well-watered in prolonged periods of dry weather.
\nLarge or overcrowded clumps of Pink Damask can be lifted and divided in spring or autumn.

\nOur wide and varied range of Perennials can be view here.
\nPlease remember, plant maintenance within our nursery is absolutely essential and means we need to prune back some items at certain times of the year to help maintain shape and encourage new growth.
\nWe ask all our buyers to remember Hemerocallis plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons. Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.\n\n We want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Day Lilies are checked and inspected visually before packing. at . . Due to the nature of the products we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll.
