DESCRIPTION The MY001-B (Blue case and CH340) to IR converter / optical probe enables local serial communication via infrared between static smart electricity meters or other devices with an optical interface on one side, and a PC or HHU (Hand-Held Unit) with a USB 2.0 interface on the other. The converter and optical probe meet all technical requirements for data transmission in accordance with IEC 62056-21 (formerly IEC 1107) and DLMS/COSEM specifications. It features an infrared transmitter and receiver diode. A built-in permanent magnet ensures secure attachment to the meter during data collection. Data transfer is performed through infrared light using serial two-way communication.
