The TLV493D 3D magnetometer is a compact sensor for detecting magnetic fields in three dimensions. It is suitable for applications such as proximity sensing, position tracking of magnets, and human interface devices like joysticks. This sensor measures magnetic fields along the X, Y, and Z axes with high accuracy and consistency. While it is not designed for compass applications due to insufficient sensitivity to Earth’s magnetic field, it excels at detecting and tracking nearby magnets in 3D space.
