13.8V 12A Stable Boost Regulator

A dedicated 12V-to-13.8V DC-DC boost regulator offering stable, regulated 13.8V output at up to 12A continuous current. Unlike variable-output or adjustable boost converters, this unit is factory-set to deliver exactly 13.8V — eliminating configuration errors and ensuring immediate compatibility with equipment expecting that precise voltage. Its regulation circuitry actively corrects for both input variation and load changes, preserving voltage integrity even during dynamic usage patterns like PTT activation in radios. The design targets long-term reliability in vibration-prone and thermally variable settings: it incorporates thermal foldback protection, over-current limiting, and input reverse-polarity safeguarding (where implemented per unit variant). While physical size and mounting details depend on the specific build, the core electrical performance — 13.8V ±0.1V regulation, 12A sustained output, and 12V input compatibility — remains consistent across all versions. Primary applications include mobile ham radio setups, 13.8V-powered data loggers in agricultural or transport telematics, auxiliary power for marine VHF systems, and portable base stations deployed from 12V battery banks or solar charge controllers.
