19 Inch Pole Mount Squirrel Baffle

This 19-inch pole mount squirrel baffle is a purpose-built hanging guard for outdoor bird feeding stations. Sized to fit securely—and move freely—on poles ranging from 1 to 2 inches in diameter, it delivers mechanical deterrence through calibrated weight distribution and low-friction suspension. Its black polymer body is injection-moulded in one piece, with a uniform 19-inch outer diameter and 1.25-inch inner aperture. Total weight is 345 g—optimised to respond decisively to squirrel contact without excessive swing or wind-induced instability. It is installed by sliding onto the pole *before* attaching the feeder or house, then positioning 18–24 inches above the feeding platform. Once in place, it remains stationary until disturbed—then tilts and descends just enough to break grip and reset upon release. No adhesive, strap, or clamp is included or required. Validated across diverse UK garden types—from urban balconies with slim poles to rural acreages with heavy-duty posts—it performs reliably in drizzle, frost, and breeze. Not tested for load-bearing beyond its own weight or for use on non-vertical surfaces.
