20A 12-83V Adjustable Boost Module

This non-isolated BOOST-type DC-DC converter operates from 8V to 60V input and provides a fully adjustable output from 12V to 83V, supporting output currents up to 12A continuously (20A peak with adequate cooling). Its rated output power reaches 1200W, achieved with 150kHz switching frequency and up to 95% efficiency — varying with input/output voltage differential and load. Physical dimensions are 130mm × 52mm × 46mm (L×W×H); construction combines plastic and metal for mechanical integrity and thermal management. Quiescent current is just 15mA. Protection includes over-current response (output voltage reduction above ~30A input) and dual short-circuit safeguards (40A input fuse + internal circuitry). Safe operation requires applying input power before connecting any load — and only after confirming stable input supply operation. In constant-current mode, set output voltage must exceed input voltage; short-circuiting output terminals to measure current is unsafe and incompatible with this module’s architecture. Output connections are solder-only, requiring thick pure copper wire; mounting uses four 3mm standoffs.
