40 Micron Brass Inline Filter

This 1/2 inch inline water filter combines a solid brass body with a 304 stainless steel 40 micron mesh filter element and a transparent polycarbonate (PC) housing. Dimensions: 125 mm length × 21 mm OD; weight: ~280 g. Rated for continuous operation up to 10 bar pressure and 60°C temperature — suitable for cold water supply lines feeding domestic water heaters and plumbing circuits. The filtration mechanism relies on a tightly woven 304 stainless steel mesh that traps particles ≥40 microns in size, including sand, silt, pipe scale, and rust fragments. Unlike cartridge-based filters, this mesh design allows for repeated rinsing and reuse, extending service life. Water flows from the outer surface inward, keeping the mesh accessible for inspection and cleaning. Designed specifically for residential water heater protection, it prevents abrasive contaminants from accumulating inside tanks, heat exchangers, and thermostat sensors. Also effective in areas served by aging cast-iron mains, private wells, or elevated storage tanks where particulate load fluctuates seasonally. The transparent housing supports proactive maintenance — no tools or shutdown required for routine checks.
