90mm PDA Agar Plates Pack

Set of 10 pre-sterilised plastic petri dishes (90 mm diameter), each containing a homogeneous layer of Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Agar thickness: ~4 mm; approximate volume per plate: 15 mL; individual plate weight: ~12 g. Manufactured daily using pharmaceutical-grade dextrose and aqueous potato extract, then sealed under cleanroom-equivalent conditions. Packaging is designed for UK postal logistics — robust outer carton with internal blister-sealed units to prevent lid displacement during transit. PDA supports reliable germination of mushroom spores and proliferation of environmental molds and yeasts. Its composition fosters visible colony formation within 2–5 days at ambient temperatures (20–25°C), with mature sporulation typically occurring by Day 7–10. Intended for observational, comparative, and qualitative microbiological work — not quantitative analysis or regulatory testing. Recommended for KS4/KS5 science teachers, undergraduate bioscience students, amateur mycologists, and homeowners seeking a structured approach to indoor air quality awareness. Includes no accessories — users supply their own inoculation tools and incubation space. Store upright in refrigerator; avoid freezing or direct sunlight.
