Aluminium Spool Smooth Casting Reel

The Shimano Sienna 1000 FG spinning reel features a lightweight 205 g construction with an aluminium die-cast spool and durable XT-7 body. It holds 0.25 mm nylon line up to 90 m, delivers 16 cm line retrieve per crank, and operates at a 5.0:1 gear ratio. The reel includes 3 stainless steel ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing for smooth rotation, an AR-C spool design for improved casting accuracy, and key functional features including auto bail return, A/R lever, line clip, and 7 kg maximum drag force. Core performance is built around Shimano’s trusted engineering — from the corrosion-resistant bearings to the precision-cut gears and rigid XT-7 frame that protects internal components against accidental drops or rough handling. The aluminium spool (not plastic) ensures consistent balance, reduced inertia, and long-term durability — a feature typically reserved for higher-tier models. Designed for freshwater use, this 1000-size reel suits light tackle applications including roach, perch, and small carp fishing. Its compact size and intuitive controls make it ideal for beginners, juniors, or as a reliable backup reel for experienced anglers.
