Diamond Flat Grinding Disc 50mm

Exact size: 50 mm × 50 mm × 30 mm (1.97 × 1.97 × 1.18 inches); manufactured from high-manganese steel for durability and resistance to deformation under lateral load. Diamond segments are permanently brazed — not pressed or sintered — into a carborundum-reinforced metal bond, ensuring maximum diamond exposure and minimal attrition during use. Three grit grades available: 45# (aggressive removal), 60# (balanced profiling), and 100# (finishing prep) — each suited to distinct phases of stone surface preparation. Specialised for flat grinding tasks: eliminating lippage between quartz slabs, evening out marble floor joints, refining solid surface edges, and removing cured adhesives or thinset without damaging substrate. Not intended for curved or contoured surfaces — its geometry prioritises planar accuracy and thermal stability. Thread specification: M10 — fully compatible with UK-market 115 mm angle grinders. Requires standard hand-tightening plus light wrench torque (no over-tightening needed). Designed for use with standard dust extraction shrouds or workshop vacuums — though dry use remains viable thanks to efficient heat dissipation from the steel core and brazed bond structure.
