Even Extraction 53mm Espresso Distribution Tool

Precision-engineered 53mm distribution tool featuring 10 individually adjustable 25mm stainless steel needles. Dimensions: 53mm diameter × 28mm height. Weight: 87g. All-contact surfaces are polished for easy wipe-down and resistance to coffee oil adhesion. No sharp edges — safe for frequent handling and portafilter contact. Unlike passive distribution methods, this tool actively separates and repositions grounds using targeted needle penetration. The 25mm length aligns with typical basket depth (22–26mm), ensuring effective disruption without damaging basket screens. Needle adjustability allows alignment with varying basket wall angles or rim heights — a feature absent in rigid single-height designs. In café use, it shortens the pre-shot routine without adding complexity — ideal for counter layouts with limited space or timed service models. Home users find it especially useful when transitioning from pressurised to non-pressurised baskets, where puck integrity becomes critical. Also integrated into UK barista certification prep courses as a benchmark tool for evaluating distribution technique proficiency.
