HDMI to Composite Video Scaler

This compact HDMI-to-CVBS scaler box delivers hardware-accelerated conversion from digital HDMI (1.3) to analog composite video (NTSC/PAL) and stereo audio, with zero software dependency. Measuring 105 × 70 × 25 mm and weighing ~180 g, it features a durable black ABS enclosure and operates silently with ultra-low thermal output. Built-in HDMI pass-through allows real-time HD monitoring alongside converted SD output, while the integrated video DAC ensures accurate RGB-to-YUV mapping and clean analog signal reconstruction. Video processing is anchored in Faroudja’s patented DCDI algorithm, enhanced by multiple complementary techniques: 3D motion compensation eliminates temporal instability in fast-moving content; True Life Enhancement intelligently sharpens perceptually relevant detail without artificial edge enhancement; Motion Adaptive filtering selectively reduces noise without compromising texture integrity; and Dynamic Chroma Memory prevents colour aliasing in high-frequency patterned scenes — all working together to produce a stable, artefact-minimised CVBS output. Designed for practical use cases including retro gaming setups, CCTV system upgrades, educational AV installations, and broadcast monitoring — where bridging HDMI sources to legacy analog displays must be reliable, consistent and visually coherent.
