Heavy Duty Iron Heat Diffuser Plate

20 cm round, 6 mm thick, 850 g cast iron heat diffuser with black oxide finish. Double-sided non-slip texture ensures firm adhesion to both stovetop and cookware. Fully compatible with gas, electric coil, ceramic, and induction hobs (when used under magnetic-base cookware). Supports two primary functions: heat diffusion for controlled cooking and passive thawing of frozen foods. Delivers superior lateral heat conduction — flattening thermal gradients across pot bases — which improves cooking repeatability and reduces energy input per dish. Particularly effective for British staples such as lentil soup, white sauce-based dishes, and slow-braised meats where temperature consistency defines success. As a thawing aid, uses ambient thermal inertia to gently elevate food core temperature — preserving juiciness and structure far better than accelerated methods. Fits most UK-market cookware brands and sizes. Stable on compact or portable stoves. Maintenance involves wiping with a dry or slightly damp cloth after cooling; avoid dishwashers, harsh detergents, or prolonged moisture exposure. With proper care, remains corrosion-resistant and functionally unchanged over many years of use.
