Long-Life Rain-Sensing Garden Timer

Made from impact-resistant ABS plastic, measuring approx. 9 x 16 cm (3.54 x 6.3 in). Powered by two 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (not included), engineered for minimal current draw — enabling up to 10 months of reliable operation per battery set. Offers precise watering duration control from 1 second to 99 minutes 59 seconds. Compatible with standard UK water pressure (0.05–0.8 MPa) and 3/4" hose fittings — female-threaded inlet and male-threaded outlet. IPX5-rated waterproof housing ensures integrity during prolonged outdoor exposure, including heavy drizzle and hose cleaning. Inlet mesh filter acts as first-line defence against silt, fine gravel and organic matter — preserving internal valve precision and longevity. Rain sensor functionality uses a calibrated chip to detect surface moisture and interrupt scheduled irrigation — helping conserve water and prevent root rot, especially valuable during UK’s unpredictable spring and autumn rains. Manual disable option allows full user authority when needed. Low-battery safety protocol initiates automatic valve shut-off to prevent inadvertent flow. High-visibility LCD screen presents all operational data clearly, even in partial shade or low-light conditions. Child lock function secures settings against accidental alteration. Ideal for UK renters, urban gardeners and eco-conscious homeowners seeking dependable, low-maintenance irrigation for containers, vertical gardens, herb racks, allotment plots and patio greenery — balancing automation with responsible resource use.
