M4-M22 Screw Tap Extractor Kit

This 10-piece kit provides a systematic solution for removing broken screw taps across the full M4–M22 metric range. Constructed entirely from high-speed steel, each extractor features a precision-machined 3-jaw gripping head with hardened contact surfaces. Total weight: 420 g. Supplied in a rigid, stackable plastic storage box measuring 16.5 × 10.5 × 4 cm—designed for benchtop visibility and easy drawer integration. The 3-jaw mechanism functions purely mechanically: clockwise rotation expands the jaws radially, creating firm contact along the tap’s internal flute or fractured outer profile. No adhesives, heat, or secondary tools required. Jaw clearance and lead-in angle are optimised for UK-standard thread pitches (e.g., M10×1.5, M12×1.75) and typical tap break depths observed in local manufacturing audits. Used widely in regional applications: restoring classic British motorcycles (e.g., Triumph, Norton), servicing agricultural equipment (e.g., Claas, Case IH), and maintaining rail infrastructure signalling hardware—where tap failure often occurs due to thermal cycling, vibration, or legacy thread contamination.
