Nepenthes albomarginata Ø8.5cm

Nepenthes albomarginata is the carnivorous plant that grows its own pitchers, ringed by a white band that lures termites. An elegant challenge for a bright, humid corner that feeds itself on small household insects. Care instructions It grows steadily but unhurriedly, rewarding high humidity with ever-larger pitchers. It performs beautifully in an open terrarium or beside a humidifier. Remember that water matters most: the minerals in tap water can burn its sensitive roots. For a complete tropical corner, combine it with Alocasia 'Venom'. Light: bright indirect light; a few hours of gentle morning sun intensify the pitcher colour. Temperature: 20-29 °C by day, with a drop of a few degrees at night; it grows best in warm, stable air. Water: rainwater, distilled or demineralised only; keep the substrate moist, never fully dry. Humidity: 60-80%; ideal in a terrarium or beside a humidifier. Substrate: an acidic, airy mix of sphagnum moss and perlite, with no potting soil and no fertiliser. Feeding: let the pitchers catch their own insects; avoid soil fertilisers entirely. Propagation: by stem cuttings, in moist moss, under high humidity. Specifications Pot diameter: 8.5 cm
