Stable Clip Wool Winder Quick Ball

This wool winder delivers dependable performance rooted in mechanical reliability rather than electronic complexity. Its clip base uses dual-layer steel springs rated for 10,000+ open/close cycles — verified against BS EN ISO 9227 salt spray testing for corrosion resistance suitable for UK coastal or high-humidity homes. Overall dimensions are 18 cm (L) × 12 cm (W) × 15 cm (H); net weight is 380 g. All contact surfaces are sanded smooth to prevent snagging on delicate yarn ends. Designed to accept standard UK skein lengths (100–200 m per 50–100 g), it completes winding in under 90 seconds with consistent torque feedback throughout the stroke. The crank handle features a textured rubber grip for secure turning even with damp or wool-dusted fingers — a practical detail often overlooked in budget models. There are no exposed screws or sharp edges, meeting UK CAPE safety guidelines for domestic craft tools. Finished balls sit cleanly on UK-standard 15 cm diameter yarn bowls or fit snugly into reusable cotton project bags. Commonly specified by UK indie dyers supplying shops like Loop London, LoveCrafts and Blacker Yarns — where batch-to-batch winding consistency directly impacts perceived product quality and repeat orders.
